Kosiv State Institute of Decorative Art is a unique higher education institution of the third level of higher education, which provides training for specialists both on a state-funded and contractual basis within the field of knowledge B ‘Culture, Arts, and Humanities’ in the following specialties:
- B2 ‘Design’,
- B3 ‘Decorative Arts and Crafts’,
- B4 ‘Fine Arts and Restoration’.
The educational process of the institute is based on an in-depth study of Ukrainian national cultural values and the search for innovative methods of implementing learning outcomes in contemporary artistic projects.
The main strategy of the institute is to train highly qualified artists, masters of artistic woodworking, metalwork, ceramics, and leatherwork, as well as graphic designers and fashion designers who strive to preserve and promote Ukrainian cultural heritage in their creative work by transforming it into a modern, competitive artistic product of great importance for the development of culture and art not only in the Precarpathian region but throughout Ukraine.
The alumni of the institute are Honored Workers of Education and Culture, State Prize laureates, renowned scholars, art critics, designers, and journalists who actively shape the cultural and artistic environment of the country.
